ChiShona

ChiShona is a widely spoken Bantu language that is one of the official languages of Zimbabwe. This language consists of several dialects such as:

  • Karanga
  • Manyika
  • Ndau, and
  • Zezuru
...to name a few. All dialects are considered to be of equal significance however standard Shona is primarily derived from the Karanga and Zezuru dialects.
